Artist's Description
Hello here I have depicted two TA-183's out on test runs in early 1945. The Focke-Wulf Ta 183 Huckebein was a design for a jet-powered fighter aircraft intended as the successor to the Messerschmitt Me 262 and other day fighters in Luftwaffe service during World War II. It was developed only to the extent of wind tunnel models when the war ended, but the basic design was further developed postwar in Argentina as the FMA Pulqui II. The name Huckebein is a reference to a trouble-making raven (Hans Huckebein der Unglbe) from an illustrated story in 1867 by Wilhelm Busch.

The excellence and variety in your amazing portfolio is amazing. As to the Foke Wulf design, it was fortun that it never got finished during WW2 - otherwise the world would be speaking German now...!

Thanks Hartmut! Hitler proved he was too much of an ego maniac to listen to his generals, even with great and innovative weapons, he was never going to win anything! Barbarossa was his biggest mistake, shouldn't have tried to take Russia!!!
