Very good digital painting, John, one of your best, IMO. And I know how complicated this particular airplane is to paint, but you did it.(Somehow I missed seeing this piece until now.)
John Wills replied:
Thanks very much. Pretty straight forward image, nowhere near as complex as drawing a Zero. I think if you look at the size of the pilot's helmet you'll get a good sense of how big this plane is..

you are welcome John i use a graphic tablet/pen in my creations hence why i was curious to know if you used one oh and another thing #lol that scene reminds me of Top Gun :) keep up with the good work too as you're on my watchlist
John Wills
Thanks Andrew. I used a digital calligraphy pen to create the aircraft, then render the shapes as necessary to create what you see.
Andrew Hunter
wow out of curiosity John do you use a graphic tablet and pen as what you have done here is rather impressive

Wow! That is some awesome, high-flying action! Beautiful integration of the dramatic sky & details of the aircraft. Inspiring work, John! L/F tw
John Wills replied:
Thanks Denise, I think we, as the taxpayers, should each get a ride in a jet fighter, fair is fair! lol
