Thank you for visiting. Fu Dogs Paradox and Confusion guarding the entrance to Nirvana as represented by the light coming down from Heaven. The female (always on left) represents compassion and protection while the male symbolizes govern and rule by having the world beneath his feet. Both are considered protectors of business and government buildings in China. They always appear as a pair and at building entrances. Hanging of this piece should take place near an entrance for protection of your home or office.
